Matthews (Sussex) Limited had the pleasure of visiting Manor Green College on Monday morning to promote safety on demolition sites, with educational and fun cartoon videos. The years 13 and 14 SEN art classes were incredibly welcoming, and all the pupils were particularly engaged with a cheeky Q & A after, the question of the day coming from one young man who asked, “How much are you going to pay me!!”
It was an absolute thrill for all concerned and a big well done to our Environmental Compliance Manager Helen who talked to the pupils. The young people loved trying on the PPE and posing for photos with it on. They’re now going to be producing some posters to be displayed on our hoarding in Croydon, so we’d love to see people coming along to view these. An outdoor gallery open to all…..
It was great to put something back in to our local community, this is at the heart of what Matthews (Sussex) Limited is all about and watching the faces of these kids while they watched videos of our demolition excavators light up was a real pleasure.
Thank you to Grahame Robson, Head teacher at Manor Green College, Lynda Guy from The Golden Lion Children’s Trust and to Sally and Vanessa the amazing teachers from this school for making us feel so welcome. We can’t wait to come back
